About Mr. Oldies
One host, two turntables, and a lifetime of funk & soul — plus the famous Sunday live request show.
The host
Mr. Oldies — selector & storyteller
Mr. Oldies grew up on his parents’ 45s and never left the groove. What started as late-night record sessions became a YouTube channel for old Funk & Soul — and the Sunday live request show the community now plans its weekends around.
How Sunday live works
You request all week
Drop any funk or soul record through the request form — old school only, 60s to 80s.
We spin it live Sunday
Mr. Oldies plays the queue front to back, with stories behind every record.
You get the shout-out
Every request earns a shout-out — live in the chat and in the published YouTube video while your song plays. Regulars get their own intro jingle.
Got a record we must hear? Put it in Sunday’s queue.
